dash of yellow

 August is one of my favorites months of the year, dunno why really... i guess is just the weather or maybe almost the last month of summer season... really can't tell, but i can tell you why i like this month and also what i've been capture lately with my camera... i've got a crush in yellow, just a dash, i've been thinking seriously to paint some wooden furniture in yellow or sew something with yellow fabric but most shocking is to wear yellow in my outfits like, more than usual, i feel so confortable wearing black and blue and grey tho, but well.. i may probably change my mind... i don't have a specific explanation but just because i like it, is like candy eye to me... (also pastel pink, i may probably write a post of pastel pink meanwhile...) some captures with yellow ...

Love this season of the year, is summer, here is our little indian summer, so rainy, so fresh and even when is humid and my hair can't stand it, i really don't care...
Lately i started to find a bliss wearing dresses and skirts, the tomboyish in me can hold it... for some reason, i've got a tendency to wear more "feminine" outfits and also i've been looking forward for more, why? i don't know! i guess is more that i just want to try something new and wear clothes that are kinda forgotten in my closet...
Anyway, for this reason i've been drooling over dresses and shoes around Etsy, i really can't help it... so this is what i found lately there...

A plant for the future

I've got this idea, that i'm not really really a great plant lady for the reason that most of my plants die because, well, i don't know but is funny, i can make them grow from seeds!
This little baby tree is one of my fav trees in town, i just found out that is a singer tree, i know, sounds funny but when the tree starts to bloom and when is full of it's fruits you can hear him sing, is so full of singing birds! i was so stunning when i saw it! i saw woodpeckers, parrots, mockingbirds, canaries and other birds..
Soon, i do really hope to plant it and so the people can hear it singing like i did...

this rainy days..

This past days has been pretty rainy, not like just a few drops, like pretty badly storms! (in some way i was almost to take a couple of each animal's species and put in an ark!!) was pretty badly, but after all the chaos and else, the air is so fresh, although some trees around town can fall for the rain and the wind... i guess is the bad part when it rains...
I get deeply soak one day when the rain catch me in the street in the downtown area... i took some pics of my town after all, and it was pretty nice the air...

Love is in my home

Lately, one of my favorites seasons of the year is already here... finally it's raining!! the air is so fresh and smells so nice! can't help it but if i'm at home i just watch the rain, drinking a cup of tea while the rain is outside if not, well, i won't be mad if i get soak by the rain... i just really don't care! is finally here, after having a horrible heat this past months i really don't mind if i just get wet in the rain...

I think when i see the sunset, where the time goes... is already July, one of my fav months, i guess is also because it means vacations but also because it comes the rain, everything goes green and fresh and just hush away the horrible heat... Is also time to rethink the plans of the year, should i continue with a particular project? did i already finish one of my purpose of the year?, is just half year, i'll keep my personal goals close and work on it but in the mean time, before the sunset i'll try to make my best...

Ha llovido mucho, cielos grises, truenos, vientos que parecen romper ventanas, pero ¿qué hacer en esas ocasiones? mantenerse ocupado en algo... Haré algo así como "show and tell" (muestra y platica según su traducción literal) Hace casi un año (si un año! y yo sé que mi hermana leerá esto..) mi cuñado hizo unos bloques en madera para mi sobrina, a los cuáles me pidieron de favor hacer y pintar figuras en cada uno... La idea me encantó, no entiendo por qué tardé tanto en hacerlo.. cómo sea, he aquí el resultado, un cocodrilo, un lápiz, una jirafa y un tenedor con una aceituna...

Has been raining a lot, gray sky, thunders, the wind blows like is gonna break the windows, but, what to do in this occasions? keepin' busy in something... I'll do my "show and tell".. Like a year ago (yeah i know, a year worst that i know my sister is gonna read this anyway...) my brother in law made a wooden blocks for my niece, so they asked me if i can paint something on each... I just love the idea, i do not understand why it took me so long to do it!... anyway, i show the result, an aligator, a pencil, a giraffe and a fork with an olive...

No he posteado mucho estas semanas (yo misma estoy jalando mis orejas!), pero debo decir que estos dias de lluvia me gustan mucho, hay dias en que está el sol de pleno y 30 minutos después todo nublado y una tormenta amenazando el cielo! claro, es lo común, estoy habituada y me gusta con todo y sus rayos y truenos, unos tienen nieve, nosotros tenemos lluvia y qué hacer mientras tanto? claro si tienes la suerte de estar en casa y no mojandote, pues haces como yo... arreglando pantalones rotos (después de varios tutoriales encontré la mejor manera de reparar el mío..), trabajando mis oilcloth y mis pinturas!, escuchando música y cuidando treboles! (es broma, estoy esperando que germinen unas semillas..!) :D

I haven't post in a while during this weeks (i'm pulling my own ears!), but i must to say that this rainy days i like it a lot, there's some days that the sky is clear with and shiny sun and 30 minutes later everything is cloudy and a storm just rumble the sky! of course, is the common, i'm used to it and i like it with the thunders and lightnings, some people had snow season, we've got rain season and in the meantime? with luck you can stay at home and not getting soak, you can do like me... mending my jeans, (after a few tutorials i find the best way to mend my jean..), working on my oilcloth and on my paintings!, listening music and taking care of my cloves! (i'm joking, i'm waiting that some seeds start to sprout..!) :D

Ultimamente pienso que no hay climas malos o estaciones mejores, mas bien nos gustan unos climas mas que otros, lo cuál es muy comprensible... A mi me siguen gustando los cielos grises y si tengo la oportunidad de capturarlos lo hago!... Esta vez la lluvia cayó mientras estaba preparando un arroz con queso (aquí encontré la receta...) lo mejor fué ver como caían las gotas de lluvia en los vidrios de mi ventana mientras trabajo en un bordado... Claro, agradecira por la lluvia!

Lately i've been thinking there's not bad weather or better stations, is more like we like some stations than others, which is easy to understand... I still like the grey sky and if i've got the chance to picture the sky i'll do it!... So this time the rain fall while i was cooking a cheesy rice (i found the recipe here...) the best was to watch the rain drops falling through my window while i was working in a embroidery... Of course, very grateful for the rain!

Han sido dias de lluvia y algo de humedad en el ambiente, es imposible no notarlo cuando mi cabello rizado tiene un frizz impresionante!!... asi que sin importar como se puede poner el día, salí con unos amigos (de mis mejores y de mi infancia..) a tomar un café, en serio que estos dias de lluvia me encantan!! disfrutaré de mi época favorita del año...
Its has been a rainy days with some humidity in the air, is not impossible to notice when my curly hair got a very impresive frizz!!... so no matter how the day can come, i just went to hang around with some friends (of my best and from my childhood..) to drink a cup of coffee, because seriosly, i just love this rainy days!! i keep enjoying my favorite season of the year...

Me encanta esta temporada del año, es verano, pero el verano en Jalisco no es como los veranos en otros lados, es lluvioso, es fresco y nublado (algo gris no?) pero al contrario que muchos creerían es todo un alivio, la razón es porque los meses previos (Marzo, Abril, Mayo y algo de Junio) son meses muy calurosos, te derrite, aunque según otras personas es "cálido" en comparación de otros lugares... Asi que salí a Chapala con una agradable compañía, me gusta mucho este lago, el mas grande del país y en esta temporada, no hay sol que moleste... 

I love this season of the year, is summer, but the summer in Jalisco is not like another summer in other places, is rainy, is fresh and cloudy (kinda gray isn't?) but au contraire what many would think is a totally relief, the reason is because the past months (March, April, May and a little bit of June) are month terrible hot, it melts you, although acording to some persons they would say is "warm" comparing with another places...
So i went to hang out in Chapala lake with a nice company, i like a lot this lake, is the biggest in our country and in this season, there's no sun to bothers you...

Chalk and the streets

Salí al centro de la ciudad sólamente por puro placer, no me puedo resistir, me gusta el centro de las ciudades tienen un encanto peculiar, así que me encontré con un pequeño festival sobre murales con gises en el piso... Era muchisima gente alrededor, entre gente y puestos de comida regresé a casa un poco mareada, ese mismo día horas despues llovió, espero los murales no hayan sido arruinados por la lluvia..

I went to the downtown of the city just for real pleasure, i can't resist, i like the downtown of every city, it has a particular charm, so i found out a little festival about sidewalk mural with chalks... It was very crowded, between people and food stand i came back home feeling dizzy, that same day, after a few hours i left, it start to rain, i hope that those murals wasn't ruined because the rain...
