lately ...

Lately, life is going to stay in places, i've been busy last months, everybody thinks a makeover at home would take just few weeks... like yeah right! is like 5 months since i started this project of renovation! water pipes, floor titles, building and enlarging rooms... it sounds like i did all that job, but not, but what i did is paying bills and i'm so grateful for all that different jobs that i had so i can afford this huge change in the home... later in another post i'll tell you the story of this adorable place, but in the meanwhile, doing all this hard work was with heavy materials, cement, bricks, and hard material of construction, the fact i was able to afford just makes me happy and lucky girl (tears of joy) dad would be so proud of what i've been doing this past years (thank you life!!)
So, i also been looking for ideas for home, i'm gonna sew a oilcloth banner, need some inspirational quote for my home... but i just found on Etsy great ideas for decoration in all senses!

So this is me, a vintage collector, a keeper of antiques, i'm so lucky to find goodies and have a nice collection of clothes and outfits... Got to share it, i'll keep some for myself but still i'm gonna share some goodies on my etsy shop just because may need find some other collectors that also love to keep vintage things like me...
What about to get something old? i guess is because all the history behind an object, let's see what's new goodies comes with this new year... 

 

i do love colors

 I do love colors, i wish more colorful things, like in all my home of course, the palette of my paintings and also with all my outfit... funny cuz i wear more neutral colors or dark colors, i just realize that i should wear more colorful clothes and barely got it in my wardrobe (oh well..) but what i love is to mix colors in my paintings, also mix colorful oilcloth pattern and make different garlands with lots of colors... so lately i thinking in quotes, like in books, in poems.... quotes to encourage or cheer up, i guess is i'm thinking in how to make a place looks and feel cozy and make it better... so i've been sewing, searching for vintage thinks for my home and just want to make my place to look great...
What do you do when you want to make a place look better?
Advices are welcome...

Etsy finds au naturel

 Yes, i've been quite busy from here to there, sometimes i procrastinate like a lot, and sometimes i don't even know what day it is... but lately i just try to stay active in Etsy, i do enjoy putting extra gifts to all my customers and make an extra effort to be creative with my garlands and banner quotes and still! this is what i found lately, there's a reason... gonna explain myself..
Lately i've been quite interested in lingerie and undies like... i took classes of how to sew it and now is like a trend and omG! need to keep update on how to sew it, materials and i can't help it! so au naturel because is almost autumn, is nice the warm colors ..

last finds of the year

 oh well, i've been quite busy lately, i kinda abandon my blog but i've been busy on my etsy shop, in between my jobs, artworks, home and hobbies, sometimes i amaze myself how i handle it...

i paint what i want...

 So, i was invited to collaborate in an art project to make some illustrations... was pretty fun actually! like mixing colors, drawing and using the color palette i adore... blue, mints, yellows....
 in some way i did some experiment with the colors... but was fine, then i decided to keep painting in acrylic painting, i mainly use oil painting but well... gotta try to push my skill and take my chances doing something different and else...

Should i call myself a vintage hunter!? or is just a hobby or why is that i love to collect and seek for Vintage goodies?!... thanks life that i was asking for and then is like that life bring them to me to admire them and then trying not to use this goodies but just see if someone else can use them, wear them or else...

Can't help myself i love a loooot of things on Etsy... from vintage shoes to all decoration stuff... i was really busy this past weeks, and i'll be so busy this next weeks, can't complain! i love to be busy and full of ideas and projects... after my workshop in the bookfair i had a really bad time with some food poisoning and awful flu... it was kinda obvious the flu, i spend 11 hours at day working with almost 300 kids at day... life happens tho... something new and something old...

well, as you may notice, i've been kinda off from here but i've got a good reasons, i've been really busy working on my next workshop for the bookfair and also because i've been invited to participate in art exhibitions and oh well... time flies and working under pressure doesn't allow you much to do other stuff, plus i can distract so easily, is hard to keep my attention and focus doing just one thing so this is not a whining post at all, is more like that i'm so glad that i love to be busy doing the things i love to do... and even with that... i sew this tote bag!! isn't gorgeous? i'm really proud of my creation!! so i put it on my etsy shop with a gorgeous pair of heels, not my size otherwise i should be wearing it.. is seriously my type of shoes! so feminine and the color is really bright, vermillion! what do you think about it? i'll try to post more, this is my fav season of the year... is raining (not man..) but is raining almost everyday!!

Love this season of the year, is summer, here is our little indian summer, so rainy, so fresh and even when is humid and my hair can't stand it, i really don't care...
Lately i started to find a bliss wearing dresses and skirts, the tomboyish in me can hold it... for some reason, i've got a tendency to wear more "feminine" outfits and also i've been looking forward for more, why? i don't know! i guess is more that i just want to try something new and wear clothes that are kinda forgotten in my closet...

Well, is almost Springtime, what do you do at home for this season? planning new plantings? or finish your projects or starting new ones? i wish i had some sort of ritual for springtime, i guess cleaning home will be considered like one but well, i'll seek new books and new projects to start so the year will become interesting with new goals and attitudes...

Oh dear, this year is almost gone, can't say it was a bad year or good year, it was special in it's own way... i learned, i travel and many things happen around me and in my life... yes, i've got plans ahead, yes, i need to create and keep myself creative, learn to paint better, learn to sew better, learn and increase my knowledge in french and tough myself to keep doing the things i love and like to do...

the camera...

it comes with the time when stared to value the company, the persons, the moments... and i guess we appreciate it when lost someone loved, we became to revalue all this precious things instead other that may pass to other order or so...
as the year stared, i lost one of my aunts, she kept a lot of thing around her that make her feel comfortable, things that remind her husband and the happy moment she had with him... i know is hard to start something when loss your soulmate and your partner of life, but keeping things around would not bring them back to life, is like she was trying to keep her memory with him, i feel so sorry about her loss... when i was younger (and immature tho) i thought that was absurd to keep all this things around her instead of enjoying what she got in life, like her sister and brother, nieces and nephews but now, i guess i thing different, guess with my kindness, she didn't want to get rid of all this things, she want it to keep them close to her to remember not to forget the one she loved...
now all her belongs are in other hands, some are bringing joy to other people or merely doing the job of what they initial are for
some of this stuff are now in my etsy shop, i'm pretty sure she kept it with care and trying to keep the memory of the one she loved
one of this objects are a camera, full functional, with a film on it, should i took photos and capture moments of joy or just keep it as a something that was bringing joy?? can't decide yet...

Love is in my home

Lately, one of my favorites seasons of the year is already here... finally it's raining!! the air is so fresh and smells so nice! can't help it but if i'm at home i just watch the rain, drinking a cup of tea while the rain is outside if not, well, i won't be mad if i get soak by the rain... i just really don't care! is finally here, after having a horrible heat this past months i really don't mind if i just get wet in the rain...
