days out...

I wish i could go out more often... like really more often... vacations and travel is always a gooood idea! like great idea! just gonna cross my fingers and wish that... had some days off from my job so i went in a familiar trip to BCS and it was great... i had a sun tan, beer, seafood, plenty relax and great time with my family... i really need that so often... but lately i've been so busy... got two jobs, many personal projects and tons of paintings to do... so is like i guess i've got just schedule and just planning my time .... 

still, cross my fingers... i wish i could go travel more often!

Can't help myself i love a loooot of things on Etsy... from vintage shoes to all decoration stuff... i was really busy this past weeks, and i'll be so busy this next weeks, can't complain! i love to be busy and full of ideas and projects... after my workshop in the bookfair i had a really bad time with some food poisoning and awful flu... it was kinda obvious the flu, i spend 11 hours at day working with almost 300 kids at day... life happens tho... (gotta write a post about that..) this post is about all the eye candy things i love in Etsy, yes is a Gift list for her, i promise had one for guys...

holidays....

i could lie if i told you that i can't remember when was the last time that i went to Isla Mujeres... but actually i do remember, it was just sibling trip, hanging out in the beach and we had a very badly sun burn here, the town was so changed since that last time... so i went back with my family and kiddos, to spend some days there, and well yes, nothing was the same but the beach and the waves was pretty the same... a wonderful nature! weather was perfect, everyday we were checking weather news and although it could be rainy and cloudy but it wasn't at all..
My nephews and nieces are bigger and gorgeous and well, what can i say about that... is just life! i would love to go back, i would love to travel more often and have this great time, forget all my problems and living life like that.... i just wish that...

and then, Oaxaca...

If i say that "a few years ago" would sound like was recently, but not, it was like 8 years or 9 since the last time i've went to Oaxaca for vacations, the first time i went it was so pretty! i looked everywhere and was so colorful and rich in history so hubby and I decided to take a break and go for vacations... so, i'll let you know that the next post will be just photos from it...
I'll show you a few of the prehispanic places that i just love them! the sun was up, very warm and bright but it was windy, walking in this places is like feeling some nostalgia about all this lost cultures...

is almost here!!

I was counting down days, because the book fair is almost here, and yup! i already got a workshop... i'm so thrilled about what to expect but also that for sure it will be tons of hard work!
For a hard day, i'll be working with 300 kids at day, but is hard to say if it will be like that all the book fair... and because i'll be using my voice all the time, i already got a nice parcel of medicine, herbs, teas and everything that would help to not loose my voice or be talking like Vito Corleone... and it that parcel i may probably put some shots of vitamins
I'm taking my job seriously, i want to avoid any type of flu, cold or whatever that can put me on bed with high fever because, of course, after working with lots of kids is something sure... they can also infected me, and i don't have high defenses as them...
So, i'm gonna chill, do my best as always and just have fun on this...
I'll be counting down the days.. 

i say good-bye to 2015..!

Acaso hay una manera de recibir el año o de despedirlo?! me gustaría decir que tengo algún ritual o algo así, no lo tengo aunque! limpiar la casa y tirar o regalar todo aquello que no uso o no sirve podría contar como uno... aunque bueno, no voy hablar de ello en este post, sino de como pasé una semana en relax en Diciembre.. a decir verdad este año no fue en muchas cosas bien, entre que unas cuantas situaciones sentimentales para dejar ir, lidiar con algo de depresión por ello y otra cosas que me rondaban en mi persona, bueno, pues tal vez pudiera decir que este año fue de Serendipia total! ruptura? bueno, tal vez era mejor dejar ir para recibir algo mejor :D así que entre otras nuevas experiencias y aventuras pues eso sucedió, un viaje a Baja California! playa, café, mariscos, sol, besos, café y mas besos con sabor a mar y sonrisas!! YaaY! me reservo el derecho de contar mas al respecto pero comparto las fotos que tomé..

Could be a way to welcome the new year or to say good-bye!? i would love to say that i've got one or so, but i don't have it, although! cleaning up my house and toss and give away stuff that i don't use or it doesn't work could be like one... even when, well, i'm not gonna talk much about that kind of things on this post, but about how i spend a relaxing week in December... and to say it truth, even when this year it wasn't in some way the best, between some awkward sentimental situations to let go, trying to handle depression and some other stuff that round my head, but well, this could be the Serendipia's year! break-up!? well, it should be better let go and receive something better and best for me :D so between new experiences and adventures, well, it happens! a trip to Baja! beach, coffee, sea food, sun, kisses, coffee and more sea salty kisses and smiles!! yaaY! i reserve my right to tell more about it but i share some pics...

...stranger swap

En Diciembre recibí un mensaje vía Etsy de una chica que trabaja para una revista inglesa, acerca de mis garlands, estaba interesada en incluir uno de mi colección para la edición de diciembre... Así que buscando en la web, encontré Oh Comely Magazine, tienen unas fotos muy lindas, sus artículos son también muy interesantes, ahora lo sigo vía facebook y también el blog que tienen... Decidí inscribirme a su lista de emails, así que un día, llegó un artículo de su blog que me pareció interesante, acerca de un intercambio de pequeños regalos con otra persona de otro país... por qué no? no lo pensé mucho y bueno, me inscribí a este intercambio... 
El correo en estas fechas es un poco mas lento, todo mundo envía algo a alguien y el tráfico de envíos es muy lento, eso lo sé de experiencia propia y oh sorpresa! ha llegado mi paquete desde Escocia... YaY!! estoy contenta! pues he recibido regalos geniales! un kit para hacer pequeñas obras basadas en pinturas impresionistas, mini lienzos, un adorno para el árbol de navidad con un estampado como kilt, un separador de libros y un genial cozy tejido para la tetera.. la perfecta excusa para comprarme una tetera!!... Si vuelve a haber otro intercambio vuelvo a entrar con gusto! 

In December i recibe a message on Etsy from a girl who works for a british magazine, she wrote me because she was interesting on one of my buntings to include it on the December issue... So looking around the web, i found the page of Oh Comely Magazine, they had a gorgeous photos, i read some posts and i found it very interesting, now i'm following vía facebook and also their blog... So i decided join to the email list, so one day, i read a post on their blog that i just found it very interesting, about a swap or exchange of little gifts with another person from other country... why not? i didn't think much and i get in on this stranger swap...
The post mail in this season is very slow, everybody mail cards or packs and the traffic can be very, very slow, i know that for personal experience and then oh dear! i received a box from Scotland...
YaaY!! i'm so happy! because i received awesome gifts! an art kit to create small artworks based on impressionist paintings, mini canvases, a cool ornament for the christmas tree with a patterned kit on it, a book holder and a beautiful teapot cozy... the perfect excuse to get a teapot!!... If there's another stranger swap for sure i'm in!

Este año se fue rapidisimo! tengo emociones encontradas después de todo, debo confesar que este año no fue mi año favorito (he tenido años mejores..) pero aun así, se aprende mas de las cosas malas que de las buenas... Con todo y ello, debo de ser agradecida y ver las cosas con mejor actitud. Resumo el año con lo siguiente:

-Aprendí muchas cosas de todo, pero en general aprendí muchas cosas de mi misma

-Ser DIY es algo genial aunque está bien pedir ayuda 

-Se vale ser emocional (intensamente emocional en muchos aspectos)

-Intentar cosas nuevas no fue el propósito de este año, pero así fue en muchos aspectos

-La ayuda viene de formas muy diversas

-El tiempo vuelve extraños a los cercanos o cercanos a los lejanos (o incluso estrecha mas otros lazos)

-Me volví adicta a pinterest (aunque eso es mas bien una confesión..!)

Podría poner mas y mas cosas en la lista, es sólo un resumen, quizás este 2015 traiga mas y diferentes cosas para mi, o quizás sea yo quien ofrezca algo diferente para este año :)

This year past so quickly! i've got mixed emotions after all, i've got to confess that this wasn't my favorite year (i had better...) but even with that, i think that we learn more from the bad things that the good ones... With all that, i've got to be grateful and see everything with a better attitude.

I resume the year with the next thing:
-I learn tons of thing from everything, but in general i learn more from myself

-Be DIY is so cool although is ok to ask for some help

-Is ok to be emotional (deeply intense emotional in different ways)

-To try different things wasn't the purpose of the year, but it was like that in several aspects

-Help can coming in very diverse ways

-The time can become strangers the closed ones or become closer those who are apart (or even can tide some bounds)

-I've become addicted to pinterest (that was a confession, i know..)

I could put more and more thing on the list, but is just a resume, perhaps this 2015 will bring more and different things to me, or could be me who offer something different for this year :)

Creo que tengo que aprovechar estos días festivos para expresar mi gratitud hacia aquellos que están cerca de mi.. familia y amigos, mi presupuesto no es muy grande pero mi imaginación si que lo es... así que estoy trabajando en unos cuántos regalos o pequeños presentes, con unas cuántas cosas hechas por mi... estos es sólo un poco de lo que voy a regalar... a ver que te parece a ti... ;)
Y antes que termine este post.. Feliz año nuevo !

I think i've got to take this opportunity of holidays to express my gratitud to those whom are near to me.. family and friends, my budget is not the best but my imagination is my best tool... so i'm working on some gifts and small presents, with some little things made by me... this is just a bit about what i'm gonna give... so what do you think?.. ;)
And before i finish this post... Happy new year !

oh Holidays...

He comido cómo si no hubiera mañana!, entre que fiestas, celebraciones, reuniones he comido tanto que he subido de peso!... lo importante de aquí es pasar un buen momento con amigos y familia.. despues de todo, es parte de las mismas celebraciones, ¿quién puede decir que no a todas estas celebraciones y festines?
I've been eating like if there's no tomorrow!, between party, celebrations, meetings, i've been eating a lot that i've gain weight!... but what it really matters is had a good time with friends and family... after all, is just part of the celebrations, ¿who can say no to all this holidays and banquet?

They need flowers...

Día de muertos y los panteones se llenan de flores, que bueno, los muertos y los vivos tambien necesitan flores, es una de mis fechas favoritas del año, recordar con cariño a aquellos que ya no están con nosotros y mantenerlos vivos en nuestras memorias...
Citando a uno de mis artistas favoritos, José Guadalupe Posadas: "la muerte es democrática, ya que a fin de cuentas, güera, morena, rica o pobre... toda la gente acaba siendo calavera.."

Día de muertos and the graveyards are filled and decorate with flowers, which is good, dead or alive the people need flowers, is one of my favorites days of the year, to remember with love all whose are not with us anymore and keep them alive in our memories...
To quote one of my favorites artists, José Guadalupe Posadas: "the death is democratic, because no matter what they are, blonde, brown, rich or poor... everybody will be a skull.."

The most colorful day of the Year

Puedo creer que el día mas colorido del año es el del "Pride Day" en todas sus versiones y en cada pais, no solamente como una manera de manifestarse pero si de exigir derechos de la forma más llamativa y colorida posible para encanto de los propios miembros de la comunidad y porque no, también para todos los heterosexuales..! Viva la Tolerancia!

I would believe that the most colorful day of the year is the "Pride Day" in every single version and in every different country, not just because the way to make some manifestations to demand civil rights in the most colorful and animated way also to pleasent all the members of the gay comunity and so to all the straight one...! Viva the Tolerance!

As time goes by...

Tiempo de despedir el año otra vez, recibir el siguiente con los brazos bien abiertos y recordar todo aquello bueno y malo que nos dejó el 2010, al fin que de todo se aprende, hubo cambios y todos los cambios son buenos... el tiempo sigue pasando pero seguiremos sonriendo siempre que termine el día o el año... Adios 2010!!

Is time to say good bye to the year again, in say welcome the next year with the arms wide open and remember the 2010 even if was good or bad, because we learn about everything, we had changes and every change is good... the time goes by, but let's keep smile always when the day's ending or the year...
