a Farewell

So i guess all this social distance and the pandemic situation put me kinda in a sensitive mood, times don't move slow although some days it feels like it goes faster than ever. I adopted Lenteja (Lentil) when was just a puppy, my parents refused for several reason but have you seen those bright eyes?!. Dad had a partner to take a nap, Mom had her for a excuse for short walks in the streets. Lenteja had a very nervous personality but she was always feel relax in our company. Was a very difficult decision to say her good bye, she was ill and had arthritis in her hips and legs, i feel so bad to see her struggle... please please cuddle your pet, share moments and they always gonna be the best company and partner you'll ever had!

...my curious pet...

I've got a crush for my little friend, Ziggy is so curious, he likes to be around my place and everywhere, he also likes to play... My boyfriend says he is very mischievous little guy, i think he is more like a baby :3 although it is true, he already got a little list of thinks he already did and not in the good way! he already chew my shoes, a woven basket, my boyfriend notebooks, his own feed bottle, he dig on my plants and always want to take naps on my bed (i'm not gonna tell you details about that this little stinker doesn't want to use his potty..!) but even with that, he is adorable!

...little lion...

I don't know where to start this post, actually i just write it to cheer up my brother, the reason is because 2 weeks ago he lost his dear cat Cilantro... i know how it feels to lost a pet, is true, it is not a person, but a pet could be a companion, a confident, someone who is loyal, it may probably doesn't have voice, but they are there when you are sad or had a bad day, i do not know how to explain it, i just know it is like that...
He told me he feels deeply sad, (Cilantro is about 8 years old in cat years..) is like a wizard that lost his patronus... We really hope that Cilantro can go back home and surprised us
I just hope that my brother, who is a wizard for illustrate, can get back his patronus soon from whatever can it be... (me, in my own universe, i miss too my green patronus Rico...)

...Dia de muertos with friends...

There's some activities or festive days that is better to celebrate it with friends, here in México, we do not have thanksgiving... i celebrated with my family, whom lives in EU and as a matter of fact, is such an adorable celebration... but in México, we have día de muertos, where we remember in a symbolic way those who been with us and past away so in some way it is a homage... Although i've got to put something in clear, the altar de muertos is made in big proportions, with big cardboard boxes covered with specific colors of silk paper, cempazuchitl flowers, lots of candles, a cross made with ash and another symbolic stuff that made a mix between prehispanic elements and catholic. But in this case, we made something portable...
I dedicate my altar to my dearest and loved parrot Rico (i still missing him..) with all the stuff he love it, chocolate with peanuts, sunflower seeds, tortillas, mirror, milk caramel (my Rico used to have a terrible sweet tooth!..) and so my friends made their own altars to those who admired or just for fun ( a couple of friends made it to their pets, Fishito and Dario, a beta fish and a bunny)...
But that wasn't the only thing, we also can found some pumpkins, so, we made pumpkin carving that it is not a mexican celebration, we made it just for fun... and it was so fun!.. to close our day, it can't miss the traditional sweet bread, pan de muertos with a hot cocoa and atole of vanilla... So now you can understand why i love día de muertos?

farewell my dear

If i tell you the story, you may understand how i felt it... His name was choosen following certain tradition, we had a few parrots before, something like 5 or 6, the first one was from my mom, who bought it so little and without feathers, by then my mom was single, she called it Rico because it was a short name, easy to say and because it starts with "R" she got after married then one day, the poor Rico I was found death on his birdcage, my siblings and i haven't born yet, but everybody told me that my mom cried a lot...
My Rico born probably in the spring of 1988 i was 6 years old when i bought it with the money of my piggy bank, by then cost me like 50 pesos, he learn and identify the names of all in the family, the first 5 years was like school, he started to eat and taste food that we offer him and of course, as everybody in home he also had a sweet tooth for chocolate, milk caramel, sweet bread and fruit.

As a member of my family he went to roadtrips and vacations with us, but if it was difficult to carry with us, uncles, aunts or cousins accept him very happy as a guest in their houses, everybody likes to had a such a nice guest that sings and laugh with everybody...
Us of course ended elementary school, middle school, high school, college and he was singing, talking everything he knows, demanding food when he knew that something tasty was on table, that was of course all the time... Loyal partner for showers and great guard for naps and always with so certain to take a shower in that exactly moment after we just clean the floor..
Of course we had another pets that showed some interest on him, we take care of him even when sometimes we tought he didn't need, because he defends himself pretty well, he used to bite with so strengh!
After almost 25 year on our side, my dear Rico flew away to other skies. Of course i'm gonna miss him! The house feels so quiet now without his greenish presence. Farewell my dearest Rico!

a nice pal...!

For mi, is the most closest to a nephew, even when i can't compare with, is just that sometimes a pet becomes a member of a family, for my sister, is a pal and friend who changed her point of view to see pets.. and yup, im agree with that, so i just made a little portrait because my sister want it... with personality!! for a good pal, Gumaro!
