eye that spy

is October, 2 month more and is the end of the year, i just can't believe it, it just happened so fast everything in a blink! life lately just keeps me quite busy working on my studio, on my classes, try to keep my social life in my so introvert self... i wish to travel more and more often too, this year i went to Mexico City, and lately is city that i love to visit for so many reasons including all this awesome museums (the nerd on me needs museums and cultural places).
Here, in my hometown i can't pass the opportunity to hang around when i can, few stops at galleries, another round drinking some beverages in new places and spending time with my family...
May the next days bring same chill and fun vibes like has been this past months... i hope you guys are having a great year and a nice October, the moon can be the most shining and bright of the whole year

Bless my mornings

Every day is the same, run from here to there, make a routine, keep everything ready, make some meals, rushing and hurrying myself to not to be late, i do that 6 days a week some days are more in a rush than other but always the quite the same
Today was the day that i can totally make the time to cook and prepare my breakfast as if it was a ritual.. Boiling water for my coffee, gathering all the ingredients, wash all the dishes and just take my time for enjoying simply moments like this...
so bless my mornings and keep me doing this more often...

fresh colors...

Days should be like springtime, flower blossoms everywhere, birds singing all day long, fresh colors from the fruit, like this one, a very nice neighbor gave me from his trees :P that and my obsession to put everything with order by colors, my eye candy...

homemade...

There's a good reason to cook with seasonal fruit, mine is prepare mandarincello! (the original recipe is with orange or lemon but in this case...) so i run to the market, now the tangerine is cheap and for kilo!!,  i think the key of this is the amount, or if i can say it better, being generous with the ingredients...
I made a liter and use kilo and a half of tangerine to make it tasty, the best part is also that my place smells so nice!! Now i can say that i improved, i guess is the practice.... Have you tried before? you should! there's a lot of recipes on the web and are quite easy and nice! is one of my favorites liquors and if you drink it after a nice pasta .... yummmmm!

i say good-bye to 2015..!

Could be a way to welcome the new year or to say good-bye!? i would love to say that i've got one or so, but i don't have it, although! cleaning up my house and toss and give away stuff that i don't use or it doesn't work could be like one... even when, well, i'm not gonna talk much about that kind of things on this post, but about how i spend a relaxing week in December... and to say it truth, even when this year it wasn't in some way the best, between some awkward sentimental situations to let go, trying to handle depression and some other stuff that round my head, but well, this could be the Serendipia's year! break-up!? well, it should be better let go and receive something better and best for me :D so between new experiences and adventures, well, it happens! a trip to Baja! beach, coffee, sea food, sun, kisses, coffee and more sea salty kisses and smiles!! yaaY! i reserve my right to tell more about it but i share some pics...

something to try at home

It's nothing new that i'm a huge fan of pinterest, you can find everything!! it's a really nice finder!! i think is a good site when you're looking tutorials, recipes, ideas... is quite practical and easy. Well, recently, after going to visit a friend, who is a nice chef, i taste a delicious limoncello that she made, it was a piece of heaven! it taste glorious!!! I asked for the recipe and of course, she gave me all the details, although, of course, i cannot trust in my memory, so after looking around here and there in pinterest, well, i find a nice recipe to try, i made an Arancello and it's powerful! because i use more oranges than it really needed the recipe... it was because i was experimenting..
So i tell to a few friends of my Arancello and i give them away a few samplers, like a cup and a half. I should show you pics of how it looks like, but i'll show you pics of the elaboration that is not easy, is quite delicate peel off oranges and lemons without taking off the white parts of the peel..
If you ever try it, i just gonna say: cheers!

food lovers gonna love..

Sunday morning and my phone rings:
me: hello?
mom: honey! come over here! there's a gastronomical fair in the downtown! just national food!
me: ok gimme 30 min and i'll be there soon ( i was already drooling by then..)
I won't do long the story, i ate a lot and to fill my tummy!... There was so many food from another states, although it was a little bit complicated to me, because most of the food got some meat on it and still,  i ate everything...
A tepache that didn't taste like tepache (is a fermented drink made it with pineapple, a lil bit slimy but not this one..) it was sublime!, a delicious mole from Queretaro, called mole de danza.. and desserts? ufff so many and in different kinds, like jericallas (is our mexican version of crème brule but not so caramelized..) and even some sweet tamales made it with sweet tender corn...
I came back home thinking that my daily food should have more elaboration and preparation... but if i can say something on my favor, my gnoccis are so much better now!
The best of the day was that my picky tummy went pretty well!

Pizza is always a good idea

YaaY

Let's talk about pizza... I can tell that is the perfect dish that had the whole ingredients for a balance diet, although, of course, i do not want to justify or encourage to eat it everyday (even when it doesn't sounds a bad idea at all..) it has some dairy, veggies, grains, something of meat too and even fruit.. it has almost everything!! except chocolate ¬¬... I do really want to say that i'm eating a slice of pizza while i'm writing this post, but sadly, noup, but! i think is a great contribution from Italy cuisine to the world, it increase our taste for it! (may god bless Italy for it! che buona vita!)
So i was thinking, why not to do something that i like with things that i like to do and with the material that i like to work! et voilà! this is the result! It had a loooot of work if i must to confess! but it totally worth it! is so colorful and cheerful :D
And well, now you can find it on my etsy shop! YaaY

...stuck in here...

It already feels like spring (i sooo can tell you about that it in México..!) everything starts to look different, it feels some heat on the enviroment, and in some way or another it shows that, the orange trees around my place started to bloom and was a such a happiness! walk around them and near by is part of the charm of the spring. I by example, start to enjoy eating very fresh and cold fruit (no way i would eat it in winter!!) and if i add spicy sauce or chilli powder so much better!.
Recently i've got the idea to do a makeover of one of my patterns on etsy, the thing is i like that pattern a lot and i can't explain why it doesn't have much views or likes, so i decide to embroider another one of the same set and i like it a lot, i almost finished...
Oh yes of course! the main point of this post, i'm still stuck in this painting, i started in december and i don't have much progress since then (i'm pretty obsessed with realism and hiperrealistic on painting... ooooouch!) worst that i never ever been working on this visual texture of water.. well, i did before, but not with human figure on it.... so this is how it looks like at the moment...
And before to close this post! April is coming! and i've got a lots of reasons to like this month, so i'll do a giveaway of couple garlands!...YaaaY!

from Sparta!!

Something that i like about Etsy is the posibility to can see another products, check another blogs of a very interesting persons and also to know another persons from around the world...
A while ago i've seen a pretty interesting shop, belongs to a cute couple from Sparta, very friendly and they've been telling me about Sparta and around, in their Etsy shop got on their products, aromatic herbs, tomate paste, oils and another supplies to increase the taste on every meal...
So i receive from them a pretty nice sample of their products, herbs with an incredible aroma, i don't know exactly what are this, later they told me some names of this herbs, but in spanish is difficult to recognize it, i think i'll go to mom to help me out, for sure she would know what are this...
For sure my next meals would have a delicious taste of herbs from Sparta :D

a foggy day...

Debo insistir no hay días feos, sólo malas actitudes!

Is November, could be that weather start to get a little bit chilly, a rainy day once in a while... but fog?! that's new, i haven't seen in in a while... i woke up and i went straight to open windows and curtains and oh surprise!! i couldn't seen beyond 3 blocks far!!! could be a little bit scary! but not, is just a little bit of fog...!! YaaaY great excuse to make coffee and tuna casseroule!! :)
I must to insist, there's no bad or ugly days, just bad attitude!
