life lately...

Life lately has keeping me moving around from one place to another, i need more coffee than usual, also music to dance and keep a nice mood and flow.

The city is been a nice place but gosh! too sunny like, i'm burning under the sun but well, Mexico país tropical, is a fact... good thing, is already a lot of delicious food, mangoes, watermelons, agua fresca, ice cream and all the yummy food to reduce the heat...
Did you see the eclipse? was wonderful isn't? i notice the shadow of the tree, all the sunbeams can be catch in tiny half moons... can't describe, was so beautiful..
So here i am, catching photos of the places i've been lately, trying to move forward and keep myself active in many ways... classes are doing great, gotta take photos of my classroom to share you guys

Visit museums...

 i love visit museums, like... i could do that quite often if i have time... is the best place for a date, for tourist and visit cities... is a place to look close at paintings, sculptures or any kind of art... museums should be a must in every place... have you ever been in a museum and at almost to finish your visit, do you find yourself starving? guess is something quite usual, is part of the visit...
This was my last time i went to a city museum... and i just love it.. was funny art, ironic images, like vintage but new...

 i've been moving in places and spaces, watching, seeing colors... i would say i kinda see it just like if it's ready to be capture in photo...
Lately, i've been able to move more around this places, still i'm standing at home, taking care of my health, i already got a vaccine but can't risk i still wear a mask everywhere i go...

quick trip...

 so i push my luck, i took my chances, i decided not to live with fear and well i packed my stuff, take a fly and went to Cdmx... Gosh! can't tell you how i missed to travel!!! visiting places, walking around, take a cup of coffee and just going outside!!
don't get me wrong, i'm the indoorsy person but sometimes is like too much! why not to travel?! here i am now, after a short quick travel, visiting museums, parks, art galleries, walking by, eating yummy and delicious food... can't get enough! i want to go to other places now!!! 
if i have fun? hell yes! if i take care? hell yes! if i was sanitizing my hands frequently? hell yes!

Love this season of the year, is summer, here is our little indian summer, so rainy, so fresh and even when is humid and my hair can't stand it, i really don't care...
Lately i started to find a bliss wearing dresses and skirts, the tomboyish in me can hold it... for some reason, i've got a tendency to wear more "feminine" outfits and also i've been looking forward for more, why? i don't know! i guess is more that i just want to try something new and wear clothes that are kinda forgotten in my closet...

this artsy days...

Lately i feel like i'm around in art circles... visiting art studios, going to art openings, performances, art projects and conference and else... and i feel so damn well.. more i know more i want and more i love this..!
and then the obligated question... why i didn't do this before..? guess i was so shy.. i feel like i have to surround with people who loves what they do.. and i guess is contagious
so i went to 2 art opening, one of this was of a nice friend, that i meet recently, she is so kind and smart.. i loooove her paintings and all her vibe, her work is focused on old buildings and the plants that grows wild and free in this buildings, nature growing in a very free way as a resistance the modern times tho..
also i went to other that is an installation on an old building that used to be a cantina and a whore house damn... the artist did a great job and a conciliation between this context with her actual context changing the vibe...

oh dear, a quilt...

One of my besties is getting married in October, she already send me the invitation, and i'm saving the date for.... So we meet when we were 14 years old, we were big fan of the same cartoons, music and share the same sense of humor, we love the same things and hate the same things, even when we were in high school, we weren't in the same classroom we tried to keep closed and then.. we had a big crush for the same guy (sounds like a teenage movie...) so we kinda split, and after all the guy was a jerk.. i went to art school in college and she was switching from one career to finally become a chef... now we hung out, she became roomie and friend of my brother some years ago and now she's getting married!! so this is my task, what should i gift her in this very special day..??
and the answer is a quilt, big enough to cover a couple... and the pattern? i kinda invented, i like to improvise with what i've got and this past days i've been sewing all day long (thank you so much vacations!!)  i doooo really hope to finish it before October considering that i've got other things to do..! God bless my mess right now!
and of course, she doesn't know about this quilt, i barely doubt that she's gonna sneak around here to see what i've been doing lately...

Our date in the museums

We have a rendez-vous in the museum, we were very interesting to visit some of the exhibitions there and the thing is we can't go the weekends, it's kinda difficult, we have plans most of the time, so we scheduled Tuesday and also because is free entrance in one that we have particular interest to visit...
It was breath taking, artworks from mexican artistas that we admire, we also went to another Museum after eating italian food, the exhibition was really great, german artist in some of the exhibitions and also a huge collection of print by Rufino Tamayo... soon we will going back because we want to see an exhibition of prints by Otto Dix... i guess this is our kind of romantic dates!

I've been busy this past days, i would love to say that i've been just hanging out but, i barely had time to, instead of that i've been working in an art project that i've got on mind since... mmmm can't remember! but maybe 2 years ago... things are like this when involves creativity and an art project, of course the idea comes first (not like the egg and the chickin' thing..) and to be sincere i totally know what to do! is about portraits but i must to justify everything and not leave things in a random way... so anyway, it requires time, like everything tho...
While i was working on this, i spend a few days at my sister's place, she went out to vacations so i stayed at home with doggies and chickens... today was the deadline, just gonna cross fingers, this are a few shots from the past weeks... and yup! is a little chicken hatching, i must to confess i feel so surprised! like a child!...

Oh May i bring you some colors..?

I've been melting down here!! is still spring but gosh! is like summer, considering that our Summer Indians are in June (or July..) is hot here..33℃ !! and possible goes worst... but anyway, sunblock is my friend and i'll go out to the street like a glazed duck  with tons of sunblock... this past week i was working as a judge in child's art contest and gosh! i was amazed about how gorgeous colors and great artworks!... The theme was "my neighborhood", and from that you can imagine what kind of works can create since their point of view...
My task was to evaluate of course the theme, the creativity and the skills because it was kids with different ages, it was divided into 2 categories, 6 to 9 years old and 10 to 14...
I wasn't the only judge but we coincided that the little ones were the best using the colors... and after been working with this, it seriously makes me think and appreciate to work with kids
