I should it go more often to the museums.. i say it to myself quite often but then... routine, errands, weekends must be the days to plan a visit to the museums but then, i guess is that lately my daily basis are quite full... i split myself in two jobs, my time to keep painting, reading, having family time, hobbies.... but then, a visit to the museum reminds me why i should keep working on my art, encourage myself and my friends to keep creating and making art....

in the middle of the sewing...
i won't lie, my classes are freaking cool, although i've got to say that i may probably annoy my teacher, i just ask and ask and ask and seems like all my classmates are very confident or they have more practice than me... i put all the kind of notes and memos and tips and things in order to not forget or mess my pieces...
What i did was recycling a few t-shirts for thongs and briefs and well, some of them didn't end pretty well, i have some mistakes that totally makes me feel so frustrated, and after managing how to cut the fabric and see the pattern and making a full exploration on my undies's drawer i realize how to make them and also that i need to see example (pfff and i thought that was going to be like a puzzle...!)
How this things end it up?, well, i've got 6 pieces of undies (brief, thongs and boxers), still freaking out on "how the hell i'm gonna do the babydoll" and daring myself to do the robes, pijama and night gown....
This is like i always do, first comes with excitement, then with confusion and frustration, then with the pressure and at the end with the "oh! i've got that"... (the pics with the gorgeous fabrics are beyond of my range! they are specially made for other occasions, although i drool all over them...)

Weekend with cars...
Every year, there's like a rally or car race with old cars where everybody can get in, of course, anybody with an old car... Since almost 6 or 7 years ago, my parents get in to this rally, my dad is a car collector, he actually got 2 cars and now he is restoring a VW van and he already got another 2 from the same brand (his passion has always been old cars!).
I asked once to go with them to this competition, then i stop to insist because i realized that they want to spend the weekend by themselves, something like another honeymoon, that and because i knew that they will had a blast of fun..
I was so surprised when they invited me to go with them and after that i understand so many things!
Every car that participate, it must to have a driver and a co-pilot, they must to follow a notebook with precisely indications and directions according with time and speeds, follow a map and drive against busy traffic and of course, against another competitors
So at Thursday morning, engines start to march and sound (what impressive thing!) and they it goes everybody!! our number was the 16th and there's a sequence according to that number and with the time...
The finish goal was on Manzanillo port after spend 1 day in Colima city (i took photos of the volcano while it had a big fumarole!)
The competitions was pretty hard, because there was another cars with powerful engines, mustangs, porsche, VW, sport cars and another fine old cars.
The friday my sister catch us with her family, she want to know everything with the competition and my niece was so happy to see her grandparents and because she was enjoying playing at the beach and with the sand, so it was a weekend around with the family
At the end, well, they didn't won any prize.. but i laughed so hard every time when they were discussing because the times and the speeds, while we were listening Queen with "don't stop me now" or "bohemian rhapsody"...
One of my dad's friend told me: oh sweetie! do not worry about that, in every car there's a couple that is also discussing the same thing, every couple had always a discussions (and i thought that could be just my parents..)
I had an awesome weekend, i really do, now i understand why they don't invited me.. and yes! i drank a lot of beer and piñas coladas the whole weekend! and yes! the water on the beach was more chilly that other seasons... now my voice is a little bit more thick because of that (i guess i'm getting cold and sick..) now i've got fantasies to drive an old car and join for the next competition! hell yeah!

food lovers gonna love..
yo: bueno?
Sunday morning and my phone rings:
me: hello?
mom: honey! come over here! there's a gastronomical fair in the downtown! just national food!
me: ok gimme 30 min and i'll be there soon ( i was already drooling by then..)
I won't do long the story, i ate a lot and to fill my tummy!... There was so many food from another states, although it was a little bit complicated to me, because most of the food got some meat on it and still, i ate everything...
A tepache that didn't taste like tepache (is a fermented drink made it with pineapple, a lil bit slimy but not this one..) it was sublime!, a delicious mole from Queretaro, called mole de danza.. and desserts? ufff so many and in different kinds, like jericallas (is our mexican version of crème brule but not so caramelized..) and even some sweet tamales made it with sweet tender corn...
I came back home thinking that my daily food should have more elaboration and preparation... but if i can say something on my favor, my gnoccis are so much better now!
The best of the day was that my picky tummy went pretty well!

No trick or treat in this post...
I like a lot October and November, actually i just don't know why, i believe is because the months before the year end or because are those months between fall and winter, could be, it had a lot of things that i like and enjoy like día de muertos, that's a pretty day of the year to remember...
I went with my mate to the street market which is very popular in town because you only gonna find it 2 o 3 weeks before día de muertos, where you can find candy skulls with sugar or chocolate in a very different sizes, flowers, papel picado, pan de muerto, traditional art crafts, masks, wooden toys and different supplies to build your altar de muerto, i went and bought 20 tiny candy skulls!!! i hope to go back soon before they goes...
Although i like to go to this place, i think i just go because i like to remember my beloved ones but still i also like the traditions and the unique colors of día de muertos, like pinks, purple, orange and the scents... So that's makes me think that death should be like that, something that we know is going to come and not stare it with scare just confront her and i hope could be so sweet as a candy skull...

me and dad
Usually my weekends are quite tranquil or sometimes a little bit lazy, the saturday i use to hang out with friends or lately with a date but nothing special... My sunday are for rest (or work in a painting...) but this time, my dad invite me to an antique car exhibition where he also participate on with his vw veetle and as a matter of fact his invitations are not very frecuent (maybe is because he knows that is not my hit, he also suggest me to carry a book)... and of course i went!
The place was out of town, i thought i would had the chance to walk around the streets of the little town, but it wasn't like that... and if i have to said, it wasn't so bad at all been in a park, near to a creek and watch a lot of cars... between antique cars, old metal pieces and vintage stuff and else, i came back home thinking that,

for one day i saw a lot of cars although my dad doesn't think the same

sunday of artcraft

I'm not so used to going out the sundays, i try to stay at home to rest or do thing that usually i don't do just because i can't do it during the week or to hang around and rest due the party of the last night... But in this occasion i went out with my family to walk around to Tlaquepaque (i know that it sounds funny the name...), but it has some charm like a little town even when is on the city, the saturation of colors in the artcraft is just part of the tour across the streets and is kinda difficult try to hold the temptation to buy something (i couldn't help myself and i bought a parrot figure made it with tin..!) but i think i should buy
that bottle of peach liquor in the artcraft store!

Busy Sunday...
I decided to stay at home working on my paintings and finish an embroidery instead of rest or walk on the street or go to the movies... maybe i'll rest another sunday, but in the meantime, let's cheer up with a little bit of music...!
