and then...

is almost a month since the opening of the art exhibition, i've got to go and take some pics because i need some pro images of my paintings plus, i need to keep it on the record and else... the opening was pretty good and crowded, all the artworks was amazing and the best was that you can see different techniques and diversity of ideas and formats which makes the exhibition very rich in languages...
So i took a few pics from my smartphone... so i do really enjoyed everything... i guess i should start working on my next paintings and see what it comes now on it...

Spring finds

Well, is almost Springtime, what do you do at home for this season? planning new plantings? or finish your projects or starting new ones? i wish i had some sort of ritual for springtime, i guess cleaning home will be considered like one but well, i'll seek new books and new projects to start so the year will become interesting with new goals and attitudes...

can you feel the springtime...?

if you live near to the tropics... you may probably notice as me... here everything feels warm and cheerie now... the tree blossoms smells wonderful, the seasonal fruit invites you to have a fest and... the lovely mosquitos are getting ready to bother you in this warm nights! no kidding... in the meantime, i guess i'm getting ready to do this springtime cleaning, declutter closet and else and for sure i've put some extra discounts at my Etsy shop... stay tune, stay fresh and stay with good vibes...

lately...

i know, i've been far from my blog lately, but i do have a justification! i've been working on some paintings and draws for an exhibition... i want it to work on new pieces just because, well, just because... and i barely been doing something else than work on that i finished this past weekend and this week i had a great time with the rest of the artist that they do a magnificent art and work with this exhibition... so happy to be part of it...
so here's a little peek of this exhibition (the best part is that the opening will be the March 8th!!)

outdoors is for...

Lately i've been hanging out with a new friends and people who had the same (or similar) interest like me, paint landscapes and the cool thing is that we been together and going to public places to make studies, draws at outdoors and seriously is a very relaxing activity, i really really miss to do this, why i didn't do this before? i mean, i've been hanging out alone and never came to my mind to do this in different places and areas!! i went to the beach, forest and well, why i didn't do it? i guess i'm very shy or insecure, i try to carry a notebook to write ideas that pop up in my mind but well, is nice to hang out with friends and people.. 
anyway, my paintings and draws are quite simple, i guess i need to practice and do this more often and leave my shy attitude behind (if you do this, for sure you would have people that may probably approach you to see what are you painting...) anyway... this are a few views and some sketches....

Recently i just found out that some of my fav artist used to make studies of a particular image, object previous to it's artwork, at the moment when i see it in books or museums the artwork didn't make any sense of why they do this and not going straight to the canvas..?? but is more like the way they can work in this and reducing and exploring the possibilities of it prior to paint it, and yes, i used to thought that was a useless idea but is not, is really not, so i was thinking to work on some canvas, but i need to first have an idea of how some object would work on it, like colors, light and else... well, this is what i've been doing lately as part of my artworks....

Exhibit my paintings and my art is a mix between fear and joy, is a weird mix, but i seriously feel like showing my thoughts and my feelings right straight naked in front of people with of course all the judgement of what i do and what i am... it suppose to give me strength and stay fearless but is still this sensation of panic... i told to my self that if i made a solo exhibition i rather prefer not to go to the opening because this overwhelming sensation and feeling to be in front of people explaining myself my creative process and all this kind of justifications that totally makes me feel in panic... before this exhibition closure, i was invited and with other girl (because it was just femme art..) i kinda explain myself my artworks, and it wasn't that bad although was just a few group... (even with that i was trying not to push the panic button..) i guess that i need to face this fear more often tho....
