Finalmente terminé mi bordado del volcán! trabajé en el casi 3 semanas, pero el decidir los hilos fué lo que me tomó un poco mas de tiempo, pues necesitaba que quedaran en los colores que necesitaba para dar este efecto de explosión... Ahora tengo que iniciar con otro proyecto y un pedido de bordado, asi que, que tengas buen día!Finally i finish my volcano embroidery! i worked with it almost 3 weeks, but to choose the threads was what it take me a little more of time, because i have to leave it with the colors that i need it to give this explosion effect... Now i must to start with another proyect, an custom embroidery... so, have a good day!
No suelo salir mucho los domingos, trato de estar en casa para descansar o hacer cosas que usualmente no haría por el hecho de que no puedo hacerlas durante la semana o para descansar de la fiesta del día anterior... Pero en esta ocasión salí con mi familia a darme una vuelta a Tlaquepaque (si yo sé que suena chistoso el nombre...), tiene cierto encanto de pueblo aun cuando se encuentra dentro de la ciudad, la saturación de colores en la artesanía es parte del recorrido por sus calles y es como un poco dificil no caer en la tentación de comprar algo (yo no lo pude resistir y me compré una figura de perico hecha con hojalata..) pero creo que debí comprar ese licor de durazno en la tienda de artesanías!
I'm not so used to going out the sundays, i try to stay at home to rest or do thing that usually i don't do just because i can't do it during the week or to hang around and rest due the party of the last night... But in this occasion i went out with my family to walk around to Tlaquepaque (i know that it sounds funny the name...), but it has some charm like a little town even when is on the city, the saturation of colors in the artcraft is just part of the tour across the streets and is kinda difficult try to hold the temptation to buy something (i couldn't help myself and i bought a parrot figure made it with tin..!) but i think i should buy
that bottle of peach liquor in the artcraft store!
Casi termino este bordado que está en proceso, es un muestrario para mi tienda etsy, bastante divertido a decir verdad, algo lineal pero me ha gustado mucho mientras lo elaboro, he tenido que elegir los colores de los hilos cuidadosamente para dar este efecto de explosión... BOOOOM!!! I'm almost finish this embroidery which is still in progress, is a sample for my etsy shop, is quite funny as a matter of fact is quite lineal but i liked while i work on it, i had to choose the colors of the threads very carefuly so i can give this explosion effect... BOOOOM!!!
Caminando por las calles encuentro esta pequeña área con una pizarra en la pared que dice: siempre soñé con... te lo has preguntado tu? podrías soñarte una vida paralela o toda una historia!... esa pizarra y esa idea, me hicieron mi día!
While i was walking thru the streets i find this little area with a chalkboard on the wall that it says: i always dreamed with... have you ever ask yourself? you could dream a paralel life or an entire story!... that chalkboard and that idea, make my day!
En casa tratamos de ser asi, seguir o asistir a algún evento o exhibición en la que participamos (confieso que soy yo la que a veces no invita, soy terriblemente tímida...) pero esta vez no fué de mi, sino de mi hermano y su exhibición retrospectiva de sus pin-up masculinos, invitado como parte de las actividades del festival de cine de la ciudad... y mucho público que fué y se divirtió y admiró las obras exhibidas con un toque picante y dulce!
At home we try to be like this, follow or go to some event or exhibition where we participate on it (i've got to confess that sometimes i'm the one who doesn't invite, i'm terrible shy...) but this time it wasn't my exhibition, it was about my brother and his art exhibition as a retrospective of his male pin-ups, he's some sort of guest as part of the activities of the film festival of the town... and it was pretty crowded, so many people who went there to have some fun and admire the artworks on the exhibition, illustrations with a hint of spicy and sweet!
Quería hacer un recuento de las pinturas que realicé mientras estuve viviendo en Denver, creí que tendría todas ahora conmigo pero oh! después caí en la cuenta que me faltan acuarelas que realicé mientras viví allá, tambien otras obras que vendí y unas cuantas que regalé.. en total me quedaron estas que ves, lo que realicé en estos minilienzos... a esta lista tengo que agregar 4 que me faltan por hacer, seguro se verán muy bien en mis paredes!!
I planned to count the painting the i made while i was living in Denver, i thought the i will have all the paintings with me but oh! i just realized the i miss some watercolors the i made while i was there, and also another artworks the i sold and another ones the i give away... in total i kept this one that you can see, the artworks the i made in this mini canvas.. and to this total i need to add another 4 more the i'm planning to do, for sure it gonna look so nice on my walls!!
Desde hace 5 años mi hermano ha vuelto como tradición ver la ceremonia de los premios de la academia con toda gala, alfombra roja, vino blanco en copas, unas cuantas entradas y postres en abundancia!! Su sala se vuelve un pequeño teatro para recibir a sus invitados que llegaran despues de caminar por la alfombra roja, también cada invitado hará sus predicciones en una lista sobre los candidatos en cada categoría a participar.. (yo solo pude adivinar 8 de toda la lista...)
La pasé muy bien como siempre! ahora me falta solamente ver las peliculas nominadas.
Since 5 years ago, my brother does some sort of tradition to see the academy award with all the finery, red carpet, white wine in glasses, some delicious entrees and lots of desserts!! His living room becomes in a little theater to welcome his guest that arrive after walk thru the red carpet and also every guest will had a list of all the category so they can put their prediction of it.. (i only could guess 8 of all the list...)
I had a great time as always! now i only need to watch all the nominee films.
