No trick or treat in this post...

Me gusta mucho Octubre y Noviembre, en realidad no sé porqué, creo que es por estos meses previos al fin de año o porque son unos meses entre otoño e invierno, podría ser, tiene muchas cosas que me gustan y disfruto como el día de muertos, que es un bonito día del año para recordar...
Fuí acompañada a un mercado que es muy popular en la ciudad porque sólo se pone 2 o 3 semanas antes del día de muertos, donde puedes encontrar desde calaveras de azucar hasta de chocolate en diferentes tamaños, flores, papel picado, pan de muerto, artesanías populares, mascaras, juguetes de madera y artículos para construir tu altar de muerto, yo por lo pronto llevé 20 pequeñas calaveritas de azucar!!!, espero volver pronto antes que lo quiten..
Aunque me gusta mucho ir a este lugar, creo que voy más porque me gusta recordar aunque bueno también me gustan los colores del día de muertos, los rosas, los morados, naranjas y los olores... Lo cuál me hace pensar que la muerte debería ser asi, algo que se sabe va a venir y no verla con miedo simplemente enfrentarla y espero sea tan dulce como una calaverita de azucar...

I like a lot October and November, actually i just don't know why, i believe is because the months before the year end or because are those months between fall and winter, could be, it had a lot of things that i like and enjoy like día de muertos, that's a pretty day of the year to remember...
I went with my mate to the street market which is very popular in town because you only gonna find it 2 o 3 weeks before día de muertos, where you can find candy skulls with sugar or chocolate in a very different sizes, flowers, papel picado, pan de muerto, traditional art crafts, masks, wooden toys and different supplies to build your altar de muerto, i went and bought 20 tiny candy skulls!!! i hope to go back soon before they goes...
Although i like to go to this place, i think i just go because i like to remember my beloved ones but still i also like the traditions and the unique colors of día de muertos, like pinks, purple, orange and the scents... So that's makes me think that death should be like that, something that we know is going to come and not stare it with scare just confront her and i hope could be so sweet as a candy skull...

Wall collage

Me gustaría colgar mis obras en las paredes de mi depa y tal vez todas aunque no pinto obras muy grandes (lo más grande aprox. 90x70 cms..) empecé a colocar algunas de las que hice los últimos dos años, no he terminado, espero no saturar mucho las paredes pero me gusta que parece un collage...
I would like to hang on the walls all my artworks into the walls of my apt and maybe all of them although i don't work in a very large size (the biggest canvas would be 90x70 cms...) so i start to hang in the wall some of the artworks that i made the last two years, i haven't finish it, but i hope not to saturate a lot the wall i just like that i looks like a collage

Pretty horse...

Salí otra vez de la ciudad en un lindo día nublado, la verdad es que me gusta salir de aquí de vez en cuando, la ciudad me gusta muchisimo aunque a veces me llegue a cansar tanto movimiento o creo que mas bien es que me gusta salir... Salí el 14 de septiembre a Zacoalco por invitación de mi mamá y me entero que ese día es el día festivo al Charro (algo asi como nuestro cowboy mexicano..) creo que a veces no me doy por enterada qué se festeja... Asi que según supe hay caballos que cuestan mas de 80 mil pesos o incluso ese suele ser el precio de la montura porque está hecha con plata y bordados con hilos de oro, el que me gustó se llama Ebano, estaba enorme y su jinete lo hacía bailar... ¿yo comprarme un caballo? no lo creo,  tal vez un caballo no me compraría pero un burrito si y le llamaría Jacinto (solo un sueño, soy feliz con mi bicicleta)...

I went out of town again in a pretty cloudy day, the truth is i just like to go out once in a while, i like my city a lot although sometimes i get tired of so many movement or is more that i just like to hang out of town... So in Sept. 14th i went to Zacoalco because mom invited me and i found out in that day is the conmemorative day of el Charro (some sort of mexican cowboy..) i guess that i was clueless what is the festivity of the day... As i heard the horses could be cost more than 80 thounsands pesos or even that's the price of the horse chair because are made it with silver and golden floss, the name of the horse that i like is Ebony, it was huge and the rider make it dance, ... ¿if i get buy a horse? i don't think so, it may i would not buy a horse but a donkey and i will name it Hyacinth (just a dream, i' pretty happy with my bycicle)...

Craving poblanos...

 

Es casi costumbre que para Septiembre es uno de los vegetales que mas se consuma en el país: los chiles poblanos y a decir verdad es que van con todo! A mi particularmente me gustan muchisimo los chiles en nogada aunque bueno, ahora es poco complicado ya que decidí no consumir mas carne (excepto lácteos, esos espero jamás dejarlos..!) asi que lo interesante es la forma en que cada quien prepara los chiles poblanos, a mi me gustan rellenos de queso y champiñones (y en crema de flor de calabaza..) seguro si navegas por la web encuentras una buena receta...

PS: dejo un adelanto de lo que estoy bordando últimamente

Is like a tradition that in September one of the most often and popular veggies to eat are: chilli poblano and is because that it goes perfectly well with everything! To me, i like it a lot especially the chiles en nogada although now is a little bit complicated because i decided not to eat meat (except dairy, i hope never stop eating them..) so the interesting about this is the way and the diverse form to cook them, i like them stuffed with cheese and mushrooms (and with zucchini flower cream...) i'm pretty sure if you surf on web you would find a nice recipe...

Ultimamente pienso que no hay climas malos o estaciones mejores, mas bien nos gustan unos climas mas que otros, lo cuál es muy comprensible... A mi me siguen gustando los cielos grises y si tengo la oportunidad de capturarlos lo hago!... Esta vez la lluvia cayó mientras estaba preparando un arroz con queso (aquí encontré la receta...) lo mejor fué ver como caían las gotas de lluvia en los vidrios de mi ventana mientras trabajo en un bordado... Claro, agradecira por la lluvia!

Lately i've been thinking there's not bad weather or better stations, is more like we like some stations than others, which is easy to understand... I still like the grey sky and if i've got the chance to picture the sky i'll do it!... So this time the rain fall while i was cooking a cheesy rice (i found the recipe here...) the best was to watch the rain drops falling through my window while i was working in a embroidery... Of course, very grateful for the rain!

coffee break

Han sido dias de lluvia y algo de humedad en el ambiente, es imposible no notarlo cuando mi cabello rizado tiene un frizz impresionante!!... asi que sin importar como se puede poner el día, salí con unos amigos (de mis mejores y de mi infancia..) a tomar un café, en serio que estos dias de lluvia me encantan!! disfrutaré de mi época favorita del año...
Its has been a rainy days with some humidity in the air, is not impossible to notice when my curly hair got a very impresive frizz!!... so no matter how the day can come, i just went to hang around with some friends (of my best and from my childhood..) to drink a cup of coffee, because seriosly, i just love this rainy days!! i keep enjoying my favorite season of the year...

Hice un bordado que terminé hace unos días, fué mas por diversión pero pensé que se vería lindo en un miniquilt y lo he empezado, estoy a la mitad de proceso y me da emoción terminarlo, escojí unos lindos colores en las telas y la idea es que quede pequeño, algo lindo...

I made a embroidery that i just finish i few days ago, it was just more for fun but i thought that would be look nice onto a miniquilt so i stared, i'm on the half of the process and is pretty excited to finish it, i choose a very nice colors with the fabrics and the idea is to make it small, but cute...
