we are the rainbow...

My state is conservative, very religious so close to be fanatics, is the mexican capital of the macho stereotype, the iconic image of what may think mexican mariachi music... in a very ironic way is also the capital of gay community (mexican version of San Francisco..) i don't care and i don't mind that image, i guess some people can feel uncomfortable about that...
I just embrace the rainbow 🌈with what diversity could means: tolerance, love, respect, freedom, support, decision, acceptance, empathy...
This past weekend, i went to the gay pride parade not just to support my family and friends but also to be there and demand basic human rights to our government...

my first baby quilt...

If it wasn't because my sister, i've may probably never been interested in quilts, it's funny because my mom teached me how to sew although my sister wasn't interested to learned... guess she changed her mind and now she is pretty badass making quilts... well, she showed me and teach me a few things, log cabin, tricks, do and don't about sewing quilts, also my mom helped a lot, she learned basic sewing things but also how to make patterns from scratch, due her family couldn't afford her classes, she just learned by herself...
I made a few little things like cushions but it was just very basic, not a bigger quilt than that... So when the year started i decided to make a baby quilt for a couple of friends, i choosed very random but fresh colors, because i didn't know if it was a baby girl o boy.. and after a month i was already finished "the hardest" part, i was asking my sister if she can help me to do the rest but she was pretty busy doing the makeover on her house, so well, time flies..

A week ago my friends organized a baby shower, i wasn't finish the quilt, i didn't know how to do it but then, my mom just told me that she know how to do the rest of the baby quilt... seriously! i knew that it was going to be full time work for this but didn't know how much!... i'm gonna make the story short, we just finished the quilt in 18 hours or less... yup! my mom is such a badass with super sewing powers!! i'm so grateful to her
