do your homework...

Odiaba tanto esa palabra, tarea!, pfff ahora ya no, creo que es porque ya no soy estudiante y ahora soy maestra, por esa razón entiendo el sentido de la tarea y la importancia que tiene.

Así que tengo una pequeña tarea, tengo que realizar una acuarela que me pidieron, es bastante sencilla, aunque las cosas simples son las que cuestan más trabajo de realizar... Pero una tarde soleada, café en mano, música en mi radio y los pinceles y pinturas en mi otra mano empecé a hacer mi tarea.

I used to hate that word, homework!, pfff not anymore, i think is because im not student anymore am a teacher, for that reason, i understand the meaning of the homework and how important could be.

So i've got to do this little homework, i must to do a watercolor who ask for it, is quite simple, but the simple things could be more difficulte to do it... But one sunny day, with a cup a coffee in my hand, the music on the radio and the pencils and paint on my other hand, i start to do my own homework

He visto muchos blogs en los que hay tantos giveaways que bueno, he entrado a algunos porque debo decir que hay cosas lindisimas!. Yo no sabía nada acerca de los giveaway asi que mi hermana me explico un poco en eso y la idea de regalar algo a otra parte de tu ciudad o país, es bastante interesante. Así que bien, participé en uno muy bueno (y su blog es bastante lindo también) y he ganado unos lindos sellos de Nora Jane, creo que los usaré en tela, cartas, dibujos o a ver que se me ocurre. Después de esto no dudaré en participar en otros giveaway!!

I've seen many blogs whom comes with a lot of giveaway, so i get in on some of it because i must to say they've got a lot of lovely things!. I didn't know nothing about giveaway so my sister explain me how it works and the idea to give something to another city or country is quite interesting. So well, i just get in on one of it really good (and her blog is so cute too) and i just won a nice stamps from Nora Jane, i think i'll use it on fabric, letters, cards or just see what it comes to my mind. After this i'll dont have any doubt to participate in another giveaway!!

the first one...

Cuando mi hermana me dijo que estaba tomando clases para hacer quilts, jamas me hubiera imaginado que alguna vez yo haría algo también y bueno, ya empecé a hacer mi primer log cabin con un bordado mio... Así que ella me advirtió, diciendome que es adictivo!.. maldición! y bueno, ahora solo pienso que más haré, pienso un quilt, sólo tengo que pensar que será bueno y ella me dará buenos consejos (porque me gusta pensar en cada detalle y los colores con lo que lo combinare es para mi muy importante). Aun no termino mi log cabin, trabajo lento, pero ese día que fuí a visitarla me motivó con una deliciosa rebanada de pan de arandano, la proxima vez que la visite, terminaré mi log cabin y si tiene pan... tambien!!

When my sister told me the she's taking clases to made quilts, i never though the i would do something like that too and well, i already start to do my first log cabin with one of my embroidery... So she warned me, she told me is adictive!... damn! and well now i'm just thinking what else to do, i think to do a quilt, i just to think what could it be good and she could give me good advices (because i like to think in every detail and choose the colors to match is really important to me). I didn't finish my log cabin, i work slow but that day when i went to visit her, she just motive me with a delicious slice of cranberry bread, so the next time the i'll visite her, i'll finish my log cabin and if she got bread... i'll finish the bread too!!

No soy precisamente la chica trendy, en realidad pienso por consejos de otros y por experiencia propia que "de la moda lo que te acomoda"... debo confesar que tengo un crush por zapatos! me gustan mucho, pero también no todos los zapatos me gustan, no soy shopaholic o zapatoholic, es simplemente que tengo gustos particulares... Por eso mismo, cuando ví unos zapatos totalmente de tela los imaginé como un lienzo (alguna vez una amiga y yo experimentamos con ellos...) entonces los pintamos y era como usar una pequeña obra nuestra con mi ropa, asi que la experiencia fué muy buena, ya que no podíamos parar de tener ideas y empezamos a venderlos, lo cual fué mejor, porque era como ver nuestras obras caminando. Así que ahora que lo pienso, creo que Luis Buñuel inspiró un poco lo que hice diciendo que: la moda es la manada, lo interesante es hacer lo que a uno le da en gana

I'm not precisly a trendy girl, in fact, i just think for some advices and my own experience is "from fashion what it fits you right"... i must to confess the i've got a crush for shoes! i just like it so much, but also i dont like all shoes, i'm not shopaholic or shoeholic, is just the i've got particular taste... For that reason, when i saw a shoes made it with fabric i just imagine it as a canvas (a few years ago a friend and i did some experiments with it...) so we just paint the shoe and it was like wear a little art work with our clothes, so the experience was really good, because we can't stop to have ideas and we stared to sell it, which was so better, because it was like see our artworks walking. about the colors...

Pienso que todos o casi todos se identifican con un color en particular, cuando alguien me pregunta mi color preferido, vienen a la mente todos los colores! no lo puedo evitar, todos me gustan o casi todos! el verde, rojo, azul, morado, rosa, gris, negro, naranja... todos!!

Es solo que me gusta el campo verde, el azul de un cielo, el gris de una nube, la negra noche, las frutas naranjas, las lenguas rosas de los perros... pero lo que mas me gustan son los contrastes! asi que pienso que un color puede volver algo dramatico o bonito (depende del punto de vista de cada quien), si me preguntas cuál es mi color preferido?... te diría que todos

I think everybody or almost everybody are identified with a particular color, when somebody ask my favorite color, comes to mi mind all the colors!, i just can't help myself with that, i just like all of it or most of it! the green, red, blue, purple, rose, grey, black, orange... all of it!

Is just i like the green field, the blue sky, the grey on the clouds, the black night, all the oranges on the fruits, the pink tone of the tongue of the dogs... but what i do really likes is the contrast! so i think every color can make something dramatic or cute (depends on the point of view), if you ask me what's my favorite color?... i'll answer you, all of it

thinking on stories...

Ahora que empieza el año, detras de toda fiesta y celebración pienso en lo que hay por hacer y lo que hay por andar... Realizar fotografía (que me gusta aunque no soy muy buena), ejercicio, viajar, comer mejor, leer, hacer diseños, bordar, pintar... en realidad muchas cosas y aunque me siento satisfecha por lo que hice el año anterior creo que no es suficiente asi que bien, es momento de empezar bien el año!!

Realicé una compra de la cual estoy orgullosa de mi misma, un set de 120 crayolas, que vino con un monton de ideas junto. Así que bien, si quieres cumplir un propósito, empieza a juntar las cosas que te ayudaran a realizarlo.

Yo por mi cuenta empiezo a realizar un poco de ilustración, sobre una historia que me cuento a mi misma, si, yo sé, es un poco extraño, pero el platicar con uno mismo es tener más confidencia y comunión hacia con uno, y bueno ahora realizo estas pequeñas ilustraciones de unas Candy-girl algo así como una mezcla entre una muñeca mexicana+algodón de azucar+60's style. Tal vez no estoy ilustrando las historias de otros pero ilustrar mis propias historias y cuentos es casi como si yo te los contara a ti.

The year begins now, behind of every party and celebration, i think about what to do and the way to do it... Do photography (which i like a lot even when im not good enough), do some exercise, traveling, eat better, read, do some designs, paint, do embroidery... in fact a lot of things and even the i feel satisfied of what i did the last year, but is not enough, but well, i think is the right moment to start well the year.

So i did a smart buy which im so proud of myself, a 120 set of crayons, who comes with a bunch of ideas on it. So if you want to conquer your goals, you just need to get the thinks necesaries to do all in your plans...

By me, i stared doing a little bit of illustration, about a short story tell it to myself, yes, i know, is a kinda weird, but talk with ourselves is to have confidence and communion with ourselves, and well, now i do this little ilustrations of "Candy-Girls", some kind of mix between of this mexican dolls+candy cotton+60's style. Maybe im not illustrating the stories of some one else but illustrate my own stories is almost like if tell you my story
